INGREDIENTS

1 c peeled, sliced peaches

½ t cinnamon

1 c flour

½ c milk

2 t sugar

2 c brown sugar

2 t baking powder

2 T butter

pinch of salt

2 c boiling water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.

  2. Stir in peaches.

  3. Add milk, mix well.

  4. Spread batter in a buttered 6-cup baking dish.

  5. Combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water.

  6. Stir well, then pour on top of batter. Don't mix!

  7. Bake in a 350° oven 50-60 min., or until risen and nicely browned.

  8. Serve warm
