INGREDIENTS

Juice & rind of 1 orange

1 c water

1 T lemon juice

1½ c sugar

1 T butter

1 c flour, scant

1 egg

3 T milk

1 t baking powder

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a baking dish, combine juice, rind, water, lemon juice, 1 cup of sugar, and butter.

  2. Make a batter of flour, ½ c sugar, egg, milk ,and baking powder.

  3. Beat batter and drop by spoonfuls in liquid.

  4. Bake at 350° for 30 min.

  5. When ready to serve, turn upside down and cover with whipped cream.
