INGREDIENTS

2 eggs, separated

1 c sugar

juice from 1 lemon (or bottled)

gated peel from 1 lemon, optional

1 T flour

1 c milk

pinch salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix sugar, egg yolk, flour, salt, lemon juice, and lemon peel.

  2. Beat well.

  3. Add milk.

  4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

  5. Bake in 300° oven over water until browned.
