Why do you soak your feet, she said.
You do it all of the time.
You sit with your feet stuck in a can
That is filled with water and brine.

Well, my daughter, I’ll answer you,
I’ll tell you why, I said.
It’s because your mother has asked me why
I don’t go and soak my head.

I try to do just what she asks,
'Cause I know that I'm her man,
But the more I try, the harder it is,
To stand upside down in a can.
