This website is maintained by Bartly Betts as a place for family news and information as well as a repository for anything of interest to us . Bartly is married to Jaqui.

Jaqui and Bartly live in Snohomish, Washington, USA, not far from Seattle. We have lots of different interests and some of them will show up on our web pages someday. Our interests include quilting, writing, reading, woodworking, and using computers. (Actually, Jaqui hates computers, but she likes what she can do with them.) We have lots of kids, 10 to be exact, and some of their pictures will probably show up in the Photo Gallery in the future.

Jaqui was born in Detroit, Michigan, and Bartly was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. We met and married while attending Brigham Young University many, many years ago. Our children are grown. Some are still nearby and some are far away in such places as Salt Lake City, Dallas, and Fort Worth.

We think all of our children should be here in Washington, but some complain that they don't like to be wet all of the time. We tell them, but they don't believe, that they don't have to be wet. They can stay indoors when it rains (that way they won't have to buy shoes, or have a car). They could save lots of money on shoes and cars, and they could come over for dinner once in awhile and save even more.

However, just try talking to kids nowadays. "You might as well try talking to a brick wall," is what my mother says.
