September 11th, 2001,
the American skies were turned to dust.
Thousands of innocents died that day,
the reason unknown to us.
Did the terrorists hope to cripple the country?
they only tightened the band,
for there are many who would fight and die,
to help protect this great land.
There were many brave ones, who that day,
so willingly gave their life,
in hopes of saving at least one person,
someone’s husband, child, or wife.
I pray that God reached out His hand,
and swiftly took each home,
so they wouldn’t have to suffer,
in the rubble, in pain, alone.
Many more innocent people will suffer,
if we don’t put prejudice to rest.
For many of them cried with us,
this is another part of the test.
This country, “North America”
was built on God’s chosen land,
and we must show these evil men,
in love, honor, and united we stand.
Although we were born Canadians,
we also mourn with you,
for many of our forefathers,
were proud Americans too.
